Back Again

 I can finally post again after retiring in 2020 from AT&T.

The transition from working everyday to not working has been relatively painless. However I did retire when the Covid pandemic hit. That was a downer. 

 More importantly, I made the move to Florida as my primary home. We always had a house in Florida but we had  only used it for vacations. When I retired and Covid hit NJ we made the decision to move.

Florida was open and NJ was shutting down. By that I mean we left on one of the last flights out of NJ to Florida. Travel was being restricted and we had heard from friends that Florida had no restrictions of any kind. It turned out to be true. We could enjoy outdoor dinners, shop and pretty much everything was normal. So, probably the best decision we made.

 So we have been in Florida ever since, we established residency there in 2021 and I consider that my home now. We still have a house in NJ but we use it only in the summers (one of the problems with Florida is the crushing humidity in the summer.) 

We have been playing a lot of bridge (the card game). For those that don't know, organized bridge is a thing. I will have more to say on that in the future.

 So now that I am settled in I will have more time for this blog.
